In a way, I think that all the titles and the summary are comments enough to let you guess what this is all about. This is a wonderful wonderful piece of silliness and fluff. Merlin is adorable and clumsy and very ignorant of Muggles ways and still very powerful and I pity Hermione for having to deal with his antics! Arthur is uptight and serious and not-so-secretly head over hell his magical counterpart (you can excuse him, Merlin has the most adorable wooing techniques!). This fill is amazing and makes you laugh a smile and it's perfect for good and bad days.

Actually I'm writing two posts at the same time. One is an update of my travel, the other one is this rec. This is a fic I read a long time ago, and for some reason I stumbled on it today and remembered how much I loved it. I'm in a Canon Era mood, lately, so you can expect more of those... It's a Merlin/Arthur Canon Era, then:

A/S : Merlin goes home to Ealdor for two weeks and Arthur is not at all bothered by this. No really, he isn’t. Assumes kind of established relationship (as in, Arthur’s about to find out just how established it is).

This fic is Arthur-centric and wonderfully so. It tells us how besotted he is and how oblivious he insists to be about that, and how all the castle is aware of this. And there's an onion. All in all this is an incredibly endearing fic, with a very convincing Arthur and you end up with a big grin on your face. It can mend your heart even if it does't need mending...

I've been re-reading (or, for some, reading)

magog_83 's fics, which I read when I didn't have a rec list, and some of her work definitely deserve to be read!! Here's a Merlin/Arthur Modern AU... again.

A Story of Love and Menswear. Edited for ~~Sap~~ Clarity by Arthur Pendragon followed by An Extra, by

A/S : Modern AU set in the menswear department of a large store (and shamelessly based on my own part time job at BHS during my A Levels where weekend menswear was always ridiculously quiet and staffed by a team of two). 17 year old Arthur is the Saturday supervisor on Menswear, and takes his job very seriously indeed. Merlin is the new boy who Arthur falls in love with at first sight. Emotional constipation ensues.

I actually picture the Arthur (and the Merlin) in this fic to be a bit older than 17, and I discovered they were supposed to be 17 just by copying the summary... Anyway... this is an Arthur's POV, and this is very delightful. Arthur is an emotionnal idiot, and oblivious, and, obviously, constipated, and Merlin is his usual adorable self. Morgana smirks a lot. I like how Merlin is the one who has to take all the initiatives even if Arthur is very involve in the relationship in his head. Sounds very Arthur-esque... And this is really a pleasure to read, some of the modifications made by Arthur being terribly adorable and funny.

This is a fic I read a loooong time ago, one of my first in Merlin fandom, and re-reading it now makes me want to share it with you! It's a Merlin/Arthur Modern AU. And I know I should compile all these new modern aus to my rec list but I'm too busy reading ^^" It'll come, I promise!

The Journal of Geoffrey the Cat, Aged 3 years and 5 months, by

A/S : Modern AU in which Arthur has a pet cat called Geoffrey, who keeps a journal. Then Merlin moves in across the road. Yes, really.

I think you need to read this to understand how amazing this is. This is incredibly funny, and endearing, and great. The cat!POV is the best thing I ever read! Just go read it, this is delightful!

To keep on going in the marvelous world of Merlin/Arthur Modern AUs, let's continue my holiday recs (because the big bangs so far are Canon Era related, so I need a psychological preparation to read them ^___^)

Merlin Emrys' Biggest Fan and a Sequel, by

kinkme_merlin : ‘Arthur/Merlin. Merlin is a world-famous celebrity whom Arthur has been pining after for years. He finally has a chance to meet him (screening? convention? concert? up to you), and on a whim slips him a note with his hotel and room number. Merlin unexpectedly (for both of them) takes him up on his offer. Bonus points for reincarnation!fic and Merlin teasing Arthur about his crush.’ This is a little different from the prompt – but hopefully not too much!

I enjoyed this immensely, which tells you how good this fic is because I'm usually not a very good public for reincarnation fic. But this one is real fun. Arthur as a desperate fanboy is wonderful, Morgana as a 12 years old science geek is awesome and terribly believable, and Merlin is EVIL mouahaha! (meaning he finds thousand of ways of teasing Arthur)
